What was different?

What do you remember that others might have forgotten and that matters for our future?

Choose your object!

It is up to you to decide which objects belong in the collection: You can contribute anything from an everyday object or an historical record to a personal memory, an old cookbook, a family photo, or a piece of music.

  • originate from the past
  • have a personal connection to you
  • tell us something about the changes in our environment

Tell us your story!

What is your relationship to the object?

What does the object tell us about the changing natural environment?

And what does your object reveal about global environmental transformations?

Describe your object!

Where does it come from?

When was it made?

Where and when did you find it – and where is it now?

Add events to position your object on the map and timeline.

Go into detail and take a closer look at your object and its story:

What materials is your object made of?

Does your story reveal something about a specific habitat, animal, or plant?

Our questions will help to guide your reflection.
